Diaries and personal accounts kept in interleaved almanacs by Rev. William Smith, pastor of the First (Congregational) Church of Weymouth, Mass., for the years 1728, 1738-39, 1741, 1749, 1751, 1754-55, 1759, 1761-63, 1765-68, 1771, 1777-78. Includes accounts for expenses paid for goods with brief, intermittent entries recording births, marriages, and deaths in Weymouth, church affairs, local visits, journeys, farm work, family news, and some noting of local and national events. His diary for 1728 contains brief stories and anecdotes prior to his becoming minister of Weymouth.
